Panini Select’s three-tiered base set system returned in 2018, paving the way for an array of tough-to-pull cards of that year’s NBA Draft class including, of course, Luka Doncic. Courtside printings were the rarest of the three base levels (tougher to pull than Concourse and Premier cards), with an average of only two per box. But those three tiers were just the start of the hunt. Each had its own variety of parallels to enhance the thrill of the chase. There were seven Courtside parallels, including the Tie-Dye /25 version. The multi-colored grid Prizm pattern aptly represents Doncic’s play, with the NBA superstar one of the most colorful chess masters to ever take the court. With Luka now set to take his game to Hollywood after one of the biggest trades in sports history, plenty of hoops collectors will likely do whatever it takes to tie down this Tie-Dye Doncic.
